Women cannot SPEAK

I belong to one of the educated middle class families of Kathmandu. My family believed that education in women is more essential to fight for ourselves so both me and my sibling were sent to the best school our parents ould afford. Summing up, all my life I was told gender has nothing to do if you are educated enough to fight for your rights. I could come home in the evening, go out with friends, travel with friends  and family. Everything was beautiful until life happened.
I felt like I'd fallen from a 20 Storey building when I heard people reminding me over and over that I was a "WOMAN". Time and again told that I being a women had to listen and bear all the pain yet not utter a single word. As a child I was taught to believe in science not superstitions and when I opposed superstitious believes bringing scientific facts, my raise was questioned calling me a bad upbringing, I was sworn at and raised hands at. I listened to harsh foul words for quite a while. Soon the volcano within me errupted and I burst into tears when everything was blamed upon me and my upbringing when I questioned superstition and morals. I was told "You're a women you cannot question"
Now I put my query here before is science wrong or superstition? Is beating up wrong or raising questions? Is swearing wrong or speaking truth? Is questioning others' upbringing wrong or correting your own ill actions? Aren't we women allowed to think and speak??
